So they're just finishing up construction on a Walgreens in my hometown. I really wouldn't mind if we didn't already have a CVS right next to a Right Aid not even a mile down the street. A little ridiculous if you ask me, but I suppose its a sign of the times. With health care as ridiculously overpriced as it is and a highly medicated population - pharmacies are a goldmine.

Pharmacies make lots and lots of money - I believe that the retailers like CVS earn upwards of 50% of their profit margin from pharmaceutical sales. I was surprised when I first read that seeing how much other stuff they have for sale.
